Baby Sea Turtle Season

One of the most exciting things to see in the green season is the birth of hundreds of baby sea turtles right here on the beach in Montezuma. The ASVO volunteers work tirelessly on sea turtle conservation throughout the year, but these months are the best time to see the little hatchlings head to the ocean. We wish these little guys all the luck in the world and hope they will grow to be healthy mature turtles who will return to make their nest here again one day!

Alternative Ferry Crossing

The regular ferry from Puntarenas to Paquera is currently not running. Instead, you can take the ferry from Puntarenas to Naranjo. Please see the schedule below. The buses have been adjusted to serve this route so don’t worry, there will be a bus waiting for you when you get off this ferry. It may take a little longer, but it is still well worth the trip over because we are having a beautiful green season and offering great discounts on room nights, activities and tours. See you soon!

FREE Yoga Is Back September 3rd!

Playa Los Cedro Surf Tournament Agust 19th and 20th

Join us this weekend at Playa Los Cedros for the Surf Tournament! All ages welcome. There will be great surfing from our local talent, as well as Bodyboard and a Stand Up Paddleboard Race. A great event for the whole family, there will be music, food and activities. See you there!

The staff and the guests come and go each day, but one special guy is here all the time. Our sweet four-legged resident Shanti. He is happiest when he’s in hot pursuit of a lizard, and we have plenty of them. He patrols our hill-side property and often greets our guests on their balconies. You will find him spending most of his day lounging around on the deck, then he wakes up and sits patiently waiting for our night guard Jerson to arrive (and feed him).

His name signifies peace, rest, calmness, tranquility or bliss. There really is no better representation for Luna Llena Hotel than all of these things. Come to see us and you will find Shanti here!

FREE Yoga in the Green Season!

Join us every day from 4pm to 5pm to enjoy free yoga classes at Luna Llena. Our guest yoga teacher Teal is making us all healthy and happy with her daily classes. All levels are welcome and we have lots of extra mats. OM
